News Doc Gets Involved in this Year’s Election

On November 9, 2016, third semester News and Documentary students Mercedes Barba and Paul Thomas hosted the NYU election broadcast. They conducted a live interview with Habib Bettah in Lebanon to talk about how the presidential election would effect the Middle East. The two also conducted live interviews from reporters in the field.

First semester students, including Athyunnath Eleti, Ahmed Monsour, Mathieu Faure, and Olga Slobodchikova, provided in depth analysis of their packages on air.

The rest of the New Doc team worked on the desk to provide up-to-date coverage to reporters about electoral updates.

A huge thank you to the News Doc team, to the NYU Journalism Department Team, to Adrian and Joe, and everybody else who helped the show run as smoothly as possible. We had the highest ratings ever!
